报告人简介：

Sven Wunder, 巴塞罗那欧洲森林研究所（EFI）的首席经济学家，从事自然资源管理方面的政策咨询工作。他拥有哥本哈根大学的经济学硕士学位和博士学位，以及森林经济学的任职资格（博士后学位）。他还担任国际林业研究中心（CIFOR）的高级研究员。在过去的三十年里，他的工作主要围绕森林和自然资源管理、发展经济学、森林保护的激励政策（如为环境服务付费）、森林砍伐、土地用途改变和森林与贫困的联系。他的大部分工作都在亚洲、非洲，特别是拉丁美洲，曾在巴西、印度尼西亚、厄瓜多尔、哥伦比亚、秘鲁和英国（牛津大学）长时间工作和研究。Sven Wunder精通六种语言：丹麦语和德语（双语）、英语、西班牙语、葡萄牙语和法语。

Sven Wunder is Principal Economist with the European Forest Institute (EFI) in Barcelona, working on policy advice in natural resource management. He holds MA and PhD degrees in Economics, and habilitation (post-doctoral degree) in Forest Economics, from University of Copenhagen. He has side affiliations as Senior Associate with the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). His work over the last three decades has centered around forests and natural resource management, development economics, incentive policies for forest conservation (such as payments for environmental services), deforestation, land-use change, and forest-poverty linkages. Most of his work has been in Asia, Africa, and especially Latin America, with prolonged work and study periods in Brazil, Indonesia, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, and the UK (University of Oxford). Sven speaks six languages: Danish & German (bilingual), English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.

报告内容简介：

Payment for ecosystem services (PES) is a market-based instruments commonly used to enhance the provision of multiple ecosystem services and support nature conservation.  In this Seminar, Dr. Wunder will present an overview of PES, including definitions and concepts of PES and ES, challenges in PES design and implementation, do PES work for the environment? At last, Dr. Wunder will give you some take-away messages.
